		<description>Just like to add a confirmation to this one.  I just spent a couple of hours trying to work out why coldfusion wouldn't start and once I added my hostname (pete-desktop in my case) as an extra to the localhost(127.0.0.1) entry in my hosts file, cf started immediately.  Could have done with a message from coldfusion here...
cf8 developer edition on Ubuntu 8.04.
